SWAHILI KNITS AT ASFW – Africa Sourcing and Fashion Week
Swahili Knits, Tanzania’s premier custom apparel manufacturer, recently made waves at ASFW – Africa Sourcing and Fashion Week in Ethiopia, Addis Ababa, representing the entire textile value chain. The event’s major pavilions showcased the complete journey from production and manufacturing to retail goods, highlighting the global textile industry’s diversity and innovation.
Managing Director Hussain Halai shared his enthusiasm, saying, “It was a remarkable experience to be part of ASFW 2023, where major pavilions represented the entire textile value chain. We were among only four companies representing Tanzania, alongside fellow, Sunflag, A-Z Textile Mills, and 21st Century.”
ASFW 2023 brought together exhibitors from around the world, offering a platform to discover top-quality fabrics and cutting-edge technology from Asia, industrial machinery products from Europe, and the latest in garments and fashion from Africa. Swahili Knits’ presence in both E11 and as one of the few Tanzanian representatives underscored its commitment to showcasing Tanzanian craftsmanship and contributing to the global textile industry’s growth and diversity.
